Many service science researchers world wide are working on better simulation models of service systems and networks. Some of these models will eventually require high performance computing (HPC) systems that rival super computers used in weather prediction to produce their results. One question the community needs to be asking itself is how can the community best leverage HPC and simulation models today? Many areas of science can advance with the aid of HPC and better simulation models in general. When will the service science community have results like the following (in the physics domain), but for service system designs that are improved based on Monte Carlo simulation runs?
