The registration process for the International Summer School in Service Engineering and Management, SEM2010 is now open.

The PhD-level course is organized by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University School of Science and Technology and takes place in Espoo, Finland Sept 26 – 29, 2010. Our approach is interdisciplinary and we warmly welcome service researchers from different academic disciplines.

Our Special Guest Professors and themes in 2010 are:

Track 1:
TECHNOLOGICALLY BASED INNOVATION IN SERVICES by Christiane Hipp, Brandenburg University of Technology, Cottbus, Germany

Track 2:
INTERNATIONALIZATION AND GLOBAL SOURCING OF SERVICES by John Bryson, The University of Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom

The seminar is free of charge, but requires registration in advance. The Open Door events that include Extended Keynote Lectures and Company Cases. These are open for everyone interested, but registration in advance through our website is requested.

The whole course, including the Open Door events as well as PhD sessions, is open for PhD students only. Registration and short paper submission is required. Participants will be responsible for their travelling and accommodation costs. We will provide information on recommended hotels in Helsinki. The course is equivalent to 4 ECTS credits.
