Editor-in-Chief, Service Science
Nomination deadline: October 31, 2012

The journal Service Science was brought under the auspices of INFORMS in 2012. Consistent with INFORMS policy, we are conducting a full search for the next Editor-in-Chief of Service Science. INFORMS President Terry Harrison has appointed Professor Gregory Heim as chair of the search committee.

All members of INFORMS are invited to participate in this process. The committee seeks opinions on the current state of the journal and recommendations for change, as well as suggestions and nominations of candidates for Editor-in-Chief.
Qualifications for the Editor-in-Chief of Service Science include, foremost, a demonstrated interest in a broad range of topics at the interface of service design, engineering, management, and marketing, and a demonstrated record of research in the service science field. Additional qualifications include the following:

• Dedication to and enthusiasm for the Service Science journal
• Significant editorial experience
• A vision of the role of scholarly publications in the electronic age
• Commitment to the workload involved
• Ability to manage the editorial process effectively and efficiently

Members of the search committee are Richard Burton (Duke University), liaison from the INFORMS Publications Committee; Rema Padman (Carnegie Mellon University); James Spohrer (IBM Almaden Research Center); Rohit Verma (Cornell University); and Gregory Heim (Texas A&M University), committee chair.
